Bastar(CG)Home Minister Amit Shah said that in the last nine years, CRPF fought a fierce battle against Maoist insurgency and we won every time.
Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday (March 25, 2023) attended the 85th Raising Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district. During this, the Home Minister said that the country is in the final stages of achieving victory because of the CRPF jawans who were martyred while fighting the Maoists. He said that for both internal security and peace in the country, the public has complete trust on CRPF jawans, which has been built on their courage and bravery. For the first time, the CRPF Day parade is being organized in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, the center of Left Wing Extremism, it is a matter of pride for the whole country.
In a program held in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Shah said that the CRPF has formed a joint task force with the police of different states. This is to prevent Left Wing Extremists from taking advantage of the interstate borders. Said that the CRPF has also done the work of removing the left wing extremists who were obstructing the development of tribal areas. In all problem areas, the CRPF built an impregnable force by taking along the local police, encouraging them and showing their organizational skills with cohesion. The Union Home Minister said that 400 local youths have been recruited in the Chhattisgarh Bastaria Battalion. Roads have been constructed in the Left Wing Extremism-affected area. CRPF has made a big contribution in building 398 bridges and culverts here.
Modernization of CRPF has been given due attention under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. In 2022-23 itself, 14 projects were completed. Rs 4309 crore has been spent for providing basic facilities in the trauma center and battalion at Jagdalpur. About 11,000 houses have been built and construction work is going on for 28,500 CAPFs.
