Balangir(By Tej Raj Mishra)Apart from carrying out operational activities to curb anti-national elements, 189 Battalion, CRPF Balangir (Odisha) undertakes various welfare activities for the betterment of general public under the aegis of "CAP" to maintain and build cordial relations. Through these activities we come closer to the last and deprived person of the society. It creates an emotional connect between the security forces and the society. This also gives us immense happiness. In this commitment, on 31/03/2023, 189 Bn CRPF, Balangir (Odisha) organized "Civic Action Programmes" at respective company locations under the supervision of Shri Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Officiating Commandant-189 Bn. During these programs Shri Satyabir Singh, Assistant Commandant A/189 Harishankar, Shri Lakhwinder Singh, Assistant Commandant B/189 Khaprakhol both in district Balangir. Inspector P. Limsong C/189 Jagdalpur, Shri Rajeev Kumar, Assistant Commandant D/189 Paikmal, Shri Surendra Singh, Assistant Commandant E/189 Bartunda, Shri Lokesh Rana, Assistant Commandant and Inspector Sanjay Tripathi G/189 Kemelabahal, all from District Bargarh have distributed Pressure cookers, pans with lid, spade, pickaxe (ganti), axe, circular saw (dau/darti), spade (balcha) to the needy people of the area. During the civic action programs at the above places, the CRPF officers have assured the villagers/general public and informed them that if they face any problem, they can contact them so that their problems can be solved by the company or unit level, else it will be escalated to higher level/authority. On this occasion, people from village Bhanpur, Borasambar, Baratiya, Baliyabahal, Batipthat, Buromal, Brahmani, Borasambar, Bijadihi, Bhata, Bhagatpur, Baidapalli, Chhabiripali, Dudukipadar, Dungripali, Darlipali, Gandapali, Goibahali, Gaurjuri, Jamunapali, Jarjagarh, Khaira, Kendubhata, Kuliha Munda, Mohulpali, Khaprakhol, Karamelbahal, Khandsibanji, Kadlijharan, Khalabahal, Kokanara, Kantapara, Karlamal, Lahandipur, Lohordungiri, Lakmara, Maharapada, Mithapalli, Nandupala, Pahar, Pallimunda, Palsada, Pacmal, Rengali, Seraikela, Sambalpuri, Sukli, Telanpally , Tetulikhuti, Turla and Tambipdar etc. have got benefits during CAP-2023. People from various far-flung and surrounding areas have also attended the function.
