Balangir(By Tej Raj Mishra, PRO)CRPF is mandated to preserve the internal security of the Nation and is deployed in aid of civil administration. Apart from its core mandate, the CRPF undertake various other activities and civic action programmes related to social and environmental causes. 

As part of this on 09/08/2023 a tree plantation programme has been organised by Commandant-189 Bn, CRPF in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra at Bhanpur, Balangir (Odisha). On this occasion more than 150 saplings and trees of indigenous varieties having long life as well as good health benefits have been planted. Mr A.V. Narasimha Kumar, District Youth Officer NYK Balangir, Mr.BipinBihari Jena, Prog. Supervisor NYK, Mr.Baliar Singh Bastia, MTS, NYK, Mr.KhageswarPalta, Mr, ParthaKarna and Mr.BijaPatraGopabanduYuvakSanghaBhanpur attended as local guests and Coordinated with CRPF personnel on this noble cause of tree plantation programme.
