Rajgangpur(PR), Shiva Cement Ltd., a unit of JSW Cement Ltd., has launched a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, reinforcing its commitment to public health and well-being. The initiative aims to support the elimination of tuberculosis (TB) in India by providing essential nutritional supplements to TB patients.
As part of this effort, Shiva Cement Ltd. has adopted two blocks—Bargaon and Kutra—in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, covering 153 TB patients. The company will provide these patients with vital nutritional support to aid their recovery, ensuring improved health outcomes. This service will be extended for six months, starting from February 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sunil Kumar Nath, (Head- Land and Liaison) of Shiva Cement Ltd., stated:
"Our CSR initiatives align with the national vision of a TB-free India. By supporting TB patients with nutritional supplements, we aim to accelerate their recovery and contribute to public health improvement in the region. We remain committed to making a meaningful impact in our communities."
