New Delhi, Dt.7/8.The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Mohsin Ahmed, a resident of Batla House, for his alleged involvement in activities related to the ISIS module, by conducting a search operation in Delhi.
According to the probe agency, he searched the residential premises of Mohsin Ahmed, a resident of Jogabai Extension of Batla House, on August 6 and later arrested him in a case related to online and on-ground activities of ISIS. Accused Mohsin Ahmed is a hardcore and active member of ISIS.
Mohsin has been arrested for his involvement in collecting funds for ISIS from sympathizers in India as well as abroad. He was sending this money in the form of crypto currencies to Syria and elsewhere to further the activities of ISIS.
Mohsin belongs to Bihar and was living in Delhi for a long time. He was identified and picked up on Saturday night and brought to the NIA headquarters for questioning.
The NIA had registered the case on June 25, taking suo motu cognizance of sections 153A and 153B of the IPC and sections 18, 18B, 38, 39 and 40 of the UA (P) Act.
