Bhubaneswar,Dt.15/8 “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSHAV" - "HarGharTriranga" a three days long campaign kick started at Utkal Alumina International Limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group on 13th Aug 2022. More than 1000 national flags were distributed among the community residing in peripheral villages. The occasion was celebrated at both the Townships, R&R Colonies, Dwimundi and other peripheral villages to spread the message of patriotism for our country India.
Mass rallieswere conducted on 13th and 14th August at both the Townships of Utkal Alumina with national flags in everyone's hand and in every houses. Employees, families, and childrenunfurled the national flag and marched a rally to spread the message of Solidarity for our beloved nation. The Tricolour in everyone's hand symbolised the unity in diversity.
In remembrance of the freedom fighter and national heroes, a cultural night was tributed on 14th August 2022 at Nuapada. The audience were thrilled by witnessing the mesmerised performance of patriotic songs and dances.
On the day 15th of August 2022, the Unit Head & President of Utkal Alumina Sri Mazhar Beig unfurled the Tricolour at Oshapada Township as a Chief Guest of the occasion which was witnessed by all the senior management team and employees of UAIL.
“The glory of this country should be kept up by all Indians.Sri Beig mentioned in his special address to the audience. As a responsible corporate Utkal Alumina is always committed and contributing towards the nation building as mentioned by Sri Beig. He emphasized on the community development initiatives undertakenby Utkal Alumina and its impact in bringing prosperity among the community. Our CSR & Sustainability initiatives in areas of education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, and rural infrastructure are touching the lives of more than 2 lakhs population who resides in 232 villages of 2 districts. We are always in our fore front and devoted to managing any crises and outbreak happens in the community, may it COVID 19 pandemic or the recent Cholera Outbreak are few examples of it where we have safeguarded our community jointly with district administration.

An award ceremony was organized to recognise the exemplary efforts by individual whereCommunity People, Progressive Farmers, Successful Entrepreneurs, best Trainees have been awarded during the occasion. Security personnel were awarded for their outstanding contribution and dedication to their duty. Employees, Families, and community have witnessed the grand event.
As a responsible corporate citizen, UAIL is deeply engaged in executing its peripheral development work under its CSR &CR & Sustainability initiatives in 2 districts i.eRayagada&Kalahandi catering to two block of these two districts encompassing 232 villages of 12 Gram panchayats. Under ABG ‘s 5 Pillar of intervention i.e education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, and rural infrastructure and addressing the issues of social concern, overall UAIL is touching lives of more than 2,00,000 people. UAIL’s unique multi-stakeholder based initiatives has been enriching lives for more than wo decades now.
