Khaprakhol(By Tej Raj Mishra, PRO) Apart from carrying out operational activities to curb anti National elements, 189 Battalion, CRPF Balangir (Odisha) undertakes various welfare activities for general wellbeing of public under the aegis of “CAP” to maintain and build cordial relations. Through these activities we inches closer to last and deprived man of society. This instils emotional connect between security forces and society. This gives us immense pleasure also. In bid of this commitments, on 30/11/2023, 189 Battalion CRPF, Balangir (Odisha) has organised a “Free Medical Camp”at Rangali High School, Gram Panchyat – Rangali, Khaprakhol, District - Balangir (Odisha) under the aegis of “Civic Action Programme”. On this occation Shri Prahsant Kumar Sahu Commandant-189, in the presence of Sh. Lakhwinder Singh Asst. Comdt. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Jhasketan Bhoi Lathore IIC, Umakanta meher rengali sarpanch, Sukantala Behera telenpali sarpanch, Dr. Binaya kumar Meher khaprakhol CHC, Principal of Khaprakhol college and rengali high school. Distributed 125 set School Bag Polyester fabric ,Notebook Lining copy (5pcs in set each), Geometry box with pencil combo pack, Tiffin box, water bottle to the students of Jamunapali Beherapani, Sapmund, Rengali, Ambahali, Khuripani, Nagdera school and besides distribution of essential Medicines, medical health check-up and laboratory tests were conducted by CRPF Medical Officers and Para Medical Staff. along with this a cultural program was also organized, After the program, lunch was also served to the people present on this occasion.
This programme was organised on the directions of IG, Odisha Sector, CRPF, Bhubneswar. In the last years also, 189 Battalion, CRPF created goodwill among the public by distributing other materials like Radio Sets, Solar Lantern, Blankets, Books, Cloths and essential Medicines etc. in the interest of the common man. On this occasion Villagers, local dignitaries, Media persons, peoples from various far flung villages and surrounding areas have also attended the function.
